A new study shows that women in England are afraid of the dentist

A recent survey in the UK shows us once again that people are very afraid of the dentist.

Although techniques used by dentists and procedures can be performed without pain, one in five women in England is still terrified of visiting the dentist. Some of them even suffer from dentofobie and need sedation even for a routine check.

Other results of the survey show that 54% of women surveyed are excited, even nervous the day before a visit to the dentist, and 57% say they are downright frightened when waiting to enter the cabinet.

About 20% of women suffer from extreme anxiety, so some do not make their dental appointment ever. Number of women who have such a phobia is double that of men - 10%. It's possible that their number be higher, but do not want to admit.

The survey also showed that 39% of men are nervous and anxious the day before the appointment, while 42% admit they are scared in the waiting room.

The survey was conducted on more than 11,000 men and women in the UK.
