Mechanism of action

Efficiency
Efficiency depends on correct and consistent use and the type of spermicide.
When using ordinary spermicides are somewhat effective - 20 pregnancies per 100 women in first year of use.
To correct and constant use, efficiency is high - 6 pregnancies per 100 women in first year of use.

Usage
Using these methods can begin anytime she wants.
Spermicides are inserted deep into the vagina, near the cervix with your fingers or an applicator (for creams, foams and gels). Introduction can be made up to 1 hour before sexual activity. If using tablets, eggs or videos, you need to wait at least 10 minutes after their introduction to dissolve inside the vagina.
If there are more sexual contact, enter a new amount of spermicide before each.
There are showers vaginal douche or at least 6 hours after (last) sexual contact.

The diaphragm is inserted into the vagina, after a woman technique is presented in the consultation of PF.
