Hemangiomas are congenital vascular malformations that can be localized or may cover large areas, affecting the bones or internal organs, giving rise to various syndromes with evolution more or less serious. They are found in about 2% of newborns.
Skin hemangioma vascular structures affects the skin and mucous membranes and are generally located. Basically they have an immature embryo structure, but can grow over time. As a consequence, most cutaneous hemangiomas resolve spontaneously by age 7 years.
