Diphtheria causes of skin ulcers that will not heal chronic disease can be confused with eczema or psoriasis impedigo.
Plague is manifested by skin buboane, but in some cases, pressure sores or ulcers can occur.
Mycobacterium ulcerans, affecting the population living in the tropics and cause of chronic ulcers in the extremities. Also, M.tuberculosis may lead to the appearance of skin ulcers, both in immunocompromised individuals and the normal ones.
Pressure (decubitus ulcers), are due to prolonged immobilization in bed, without disturbing the position of the patient, tissue necroses and ulcerates ischemia, favoring the grafting of infections originating from normal skin or intestinal flora.
