Trigeminal Neuralgia

Trigeminal neuralgia is manifested by frequent pain crises ofextreme violence.
 
Initially mild seizures occur, short-term but as the diseaseprogresses, the outbursts are longer and more frequent.Spontaneous outbursts can be painful but also triggered by light touching of the face during activities of daily living (washing your teeth, shaving or applying makeup). Pain of trigeminal neuralgiacan be located on a restricted portion of the face and can spreadover a vast area in May.
 
Due to the variety of treatments available, patients with trigeminalneuralgia are not codamnati to a life of pain. The disease can becontrolled with drugs or chirugiei.
