The disease is asymptomatic newborn or symptoms may occur at birth, most likely at 8 weeks after birth, on average 4-8 weeks.
Nonspecific clinical signs are impaired thermoregulation,respiratory distress syndrome, irritability, lethargy, poor feeding,hepatosplenomegaly, lymphadenopathy, jaundice, skin rashpapular level, neurological disorders.
Profilcatic Treatment consists of: identifying high-risk pregnant women, infants separated mothers with active TB, to negativareasputum, BCG vaccination in newborn. Nascutl risk newborn is treated with isoniazid 10mg/kgc/zi. Newborn with meningeal form:streptomycin plus isoniazid plus dexamethasone plus Rifadin istrateaza10 months.
