Infections associated with crusted lesions

Infections associated with crusted lesions

There are a number of diseases accompanied by skin lesions crusted: impedigo bullous, impedigo contagious pecingea, histoplasmosis, cutaneous tuberculosis, nocardia, etc..

Bullous Impedigo is caused by infection with S.aureus and at S.pyogenes contagious. In the early bullous lesions have an appearance and then appear thick yellow crusts. Streptococcus affects mainly children from areas with low socio-economic level. Contagious form of impedigo poststreptococica may be complicated by glomerulonephritis, treatment should istituit so quickly.

Ringworm = superficial infection with dermatophytes (fungi species) can occur anywhere on the body, fungal infections are manifested initially in the form crusted lesions similar to those of dermatophyte infections.
