Perception hearing loss:
- Age - auditory acuity reduction due to aging is calledpresbycusis

- drug intoxication - some antibiotics, aspirin, diuretics
- infections - mumps virus (mumps), meningitis
- congenital infection - toxoplasmosis, rubella, cytomegalovirus(CMV), herpes, syphilis
- Congenital anomalies
- Injury sound - loud noises (90 decibels)
- Meniere's disease - disease of the inner ear that manifests itself, inter alia, hearing loss, ringing in the ears and vertigo
- sudden pressure variations - in flight, swimming, or intenseexercise
- viral inner ear infection - labyrinthitis
- an injury to the cochlea - the hearing organ located in the inner ear
- the impairment of auditory nerve fibers of the nerve or central auditory pathways (which leaves the inner ear and reach theencephalon)
Hearing loss transmission:
- cholesteatoma - a benign tumor located in the middle earcaused by infection
- serous otitis media - middle ear infection with effusion fluid
- obstruction of the ear canal - because a plug of cerumen (wax),a tumor or infection is involved purulent collections
- otospongioza - development of a spongy bone in the middle ear,which trains while a progressive deafness
- eardrum perforation
