Infant Osteopetroza:
Dennumita and is diagnosed malignant osteopetroza early in life.Clinical manifestations include: staturo-weight retardation, bone defects, deafness, nerve neuropathy by incarceration, hidrocefalus,delayed dentition, mandibular osteomyelitis. Bones are fragile andfractures easily. Paranasal sinuses and clogging mastoidiene bybirth.
Inlocuieasca defective bone tissue tends to cause bone marrowand marrow failure with pancytopenia. Patients have anemia,bruising and petechiae to minor trauma, bleeding inthrombocytopenia and recurrent infection with hereditary defects ofthe immune system. Extramedullary hematopoiesis occurs withhepatosplenomegaly, hemolysis and hypersplenism. Other clinicalmanifestations include sleep apnea and blindness by retinaldegeneration.
Osteoporosis biomechanical
Osteopetroza benign adult or teenager is diagnosed late or adult life. Half of the patients are asymptomatic, and radiographicdiagnosis of bone abnormalities due to accident. Many patientshave bone pain, neuropathy, osteoarthritis, fractures of fragilebones. Other events include: deafness, facial paralysis, carpaltunnel syndrome, osteomyelitis of the mandible in 10% of cases.Bone marrow hematopoietic function is not compromised.
