Vitiligo Surgical repigmentation

Vitiligo
Surgical repigmentation
There are alternatives to surgery for the treatment of vitiligo but due to time needed treatment for vitiligo are limited and regional segment. Vitiligo unilaterally (segment) has proved to be the most stable form that responded to this therapy. Candidates for this therapy are patients with vitiligo areas of activity here stable.
The most important factors of stability are: Lack of progression of lesions for at least 2 years Spontaneous repigmentation inactivity-indicating Minigrafting-positive test -Unilateral vitiligo is the most stable form.
5 have been described surgical repigmentation methods:
Epidermal suspensions cultivated: the epidermis is removed after a suspension extends acromic epidermal melanocytes and keratinocytes with previously prepared tripsinizarea normally pigmented donor. The suspension is spread on the bare and covered with bandages nonaderente immediately.
Dermoepidermice thin grafts: depigmented epidermis is removed by dermoabraziune superficial papillary dermis and including dermoepidermice thin foils are grafted onto bare skin.
Epidermal grafting by suction: epidermal grafts may be obtained by vacuum suction. Receiving area can be prepared by suction, freezing or dermabrasion for 24 hours before grafting. Depigmented and the vesicles are broken in the donor graft is placed on the affected area.
Minigrefarea by puncture: grafts are inserted into small incisions and maintained by pressure dressings. Grafts heal quickly begin to show repigmentation in 4-6 weeks. Cosmetic result is excellent.
Cultured epidermis with melanocytes or cultured melanocyte suspension: skin lightening agent is removed by liquid nitrogen, dermabrasion superficial termochirurgie or carbon dioxide laser. Grown very thin layers of the epidermis are grafted or suspensions are spread on bare surface.
Micropigmentation is another solution. Tattoos can be used to repigmenta dark skin persons. Achieving accurate color is difficult and the color tends to fade. The skin may be colored with Dihydroxyacetone, although the color match is poor.
