Acrodermatitis enteropathy Pathogenesis and causes

Acrodermatitis enteropathy
Pathogenesis and causes
Enteropathy acrodermatitei pathophysiology remains unclear and continues to be debated. Zinc is essential for life. It is not only important as a nutrient and cofactor for enzymes and transcription but also an intracellular mediator, similarly to calcium. Zinc homeostasis result from the coordinated regulation by different proteins involved in intracellular storage and excretion of zinc.
The human genome encodes several proteins involved in captraea specific dietary zinc in intestinal enterocytes. Mutations in these genes have been found in patients. Enteropathy in children with acrodermatitis absence of a ligand may contribute to malabsorption. Such a ligand has been identified in normal pancreatic secretion in human milk. Other causes such as high concentrations of phytates found in cereals and soy milk inhibits the absorption of zinc. Described by Prasad Geofagia decreases absorption of zinc.
Acrodermatitis enteropathy has been reported as a presentation of food allergy. Ig serum immunoglobulin E and specific Ig E levels in milk, soybeans and peanuts were evaluated for food allergy. Undiagnosed food allergy can lead to profound zinc deficiency. This should be suspected in children with acrodermatitis enteropathy.
Transient zinc deficiency, has been reported in symptomatic breast breastfeeding, children with low birth Gruta and should be considered a rare but important factor and acrala periorificiala dermatitis, the symptoms disappear when nursing ends.
Acrodermatitis enteropathy can be diagnosed accurately only after attempts to remove zinc supplementation failed. Therefore patients with this disease should remain on zinc therapy throughout life. Differentiation zinc gained deficits disease can be difficult because both conditions are present in the same ways. Some studies have shown that low levels of zinc in mother's milk may cause zinc deficiency gained over long periods. It is believed that this deficiency of zinc in milk is due to abnormal secretion of zinc. Won by zinc deficiency occur in premature babies, whether breast is normal or low zinc, due to increased demand the child's body or low-zinc deposits.
