Causes
Perception hearing loss:

 
- Age - auditory acuity reduction due to aging is called presbycusis
 
- Brain tumor - an acoustic neurinom (benign tumor of the auditory nerve)
 
- Drug intoxication - some antibiotics, aspirin, diuretics
 
- Infections - mumps virus (mumps), meningitis
 
- Congenital infection - toxoplasmosis, rubella, cytomegalovirus (CMV), herpes, syphilis
 
- Congenital anomalies
 
- Injury sound - loud noises (90 decibels)
 
- Meniere's disease - disease of the inner ear that manifests itself, inter alia, hearing loss, ringing in the ears and vertigo
 
- Sudden pressure variations - in flight, swimming, or intense exercise
 
- Viral inner ear infection - labyrinthitis
 
- An injury to the cochlea - the hearing organ located in the inner ear
 
- The impairment of auditory nerve fibers of the nerve or central auditory pathways (which leaves the inner ear and reach the encephalon)

Hearing loss transmission:

 
- Cholesteatoma - a benign tumor located in the middle ear caused by infection
 
- Serous otitis media - middle ear infection with effusion fluid
 
- Obstruction of the ear canal - because a plug of cerumen (wax), a tumor or infection is involved purulent collections
 
- Otospongioza - development of a spongy bone in the middle ear, which trains while a progressive deafness
 
- Eardrum perforation
