Tonsillitis, Angina Diagnosis

Tonsillitis, Angina
Diagnosis

Physical examination will highlight red and swollen tonsils (enlarged in volume). Various infectious agents cause different types of inflammation in general. Epstein-Barr virus, for example, cause of red dots on the soft palate, due to bleeding. Bacteria can leave the tonsils a fine white membrane that separate easily. None of these symptoms is not sufficient to allow diagnosis of the infectious agent.

For this, we performed a bacterial culture. Staphylococcus This group has not demonstrated that this bacterium was the origin of inflammation, given that many people are carriers without this infection. The patient may be carriers of strep and tonsillitis may be caused by an undetected virus.
