Deficiency Anemia deficiency

Deficiency Anemia iron deficiency is the most common form of anemia at the age ofinfant and young child (representing 90% of child anemia) and probably the mostcommon deficiency in the world.

The body needs iron to make hemoglobin, the pigment of red blood cells that carries oxygen from the lungs to body cells. Iron deficiency in the body leads to iron deficiencyanemia Deficiency.

Anemia is characterized by low levels of hemoglobin and red blood cells. Because red blood cells carry oxygen aa role in the body, anemia results in decreased amount ofoxygen reaching the cells and tissues.

Clinical signs of iron deficiency anemia:
- Fatigue, apathy
- pallor
- Rapid heartbeat (tachycardia)
- irritability
- Poor appetite (anorexia) or capricious
- Sweating
- Brittle hair

diagnosis
Deficiency anemia because iron deficiency are common signs and other diseases, the doctor needs a series of laboratory tests to diagnose iron deficiency anemiaDeficiency:
  - Full counting formula will indicate a low blood hemoglobin and hematocrit(percentage of blood occupied by red blood cells) is low. Red blood cells with lowhemoglobin are smaller and less pigmented.
  - Determination of serum iron decreases it will show (below 60 micrograms / 100 ml).
  - Feritinemia (blood ferritin level) is lower in iron deficiency.
