Hemolytic disease of the newborn - Anti D prophylaxis alloimunizarii

Prevention of hemolytic disease is the most effective way to reduce deaths andneurological sequelae after prinatale kernicterus.

Rh alloimunizarii prevention methods are:
1. alloimunizarilor prevent transfusion: a) phenotypic and Rh blood group in fetuses at a young age, b) compatible blood transfusions.
2. maintenance of first pregnancy in women with Rh negative
The risk of immunization is 1-2% in first pregnancy and 10% in the second pregnancy;
3. Passive immunization with anti D immunoglobulin
Anti D immunoglobulin is given Rh immune women:
- Within 72 hours after birth to a Rh positive fetus after abortion, ectopic pregnancy,fetal death intauterina;
- Is also recommended to take 28 weeks gestation and within 72 hours after birth.
A vial of 300μg provides protection for feto-maternal hemorrhage of 15 ml.
