Otitis externa

Otitis denotes an inflammation of the ear caused by an infection inmost cases.
There are several types of otitis, ear inflammation according to the head. Otitis media is very common in children between 6 months and 3 years and is characterized by inflammation of the middleear.

Otitis externa is inflammation of the pinna or external ear canal. It is also called "swimmer's ear" because this type of infection iscommon in swimmers, when water enters the ear canal is notstagnant and drained.

Otitis externa can affect the entire ear canal, or a portion thereof,as if this a boil.
