Asthma in children - Evolution

Most cases of asthma in children heal spontaneously or with treatment. Only a third ofasthmatic children will present symptoms and the age of 30. In 5% of cases, asthmapersists throughout childhood to adulthood. In general it is severe, which trains schoolabsenteeism and, sometimes, a growth retardation.

More often, asthma is moderate and disappears before puberty, possibly to reappearlater. Aceste sunt recurrence of respiratory infections and favored by smoking, whetheractive or passive.

In adolescents, asthma is less than in early childhood. It should be noted at this agethe influence it can have adverse smoking and difficulty to follow the treatment ofadolescent substance.
