The most commonly used D-medroxyprogesterone acetate (DMPA)-names: Depo-Provera, Megestron.

There injectable contraceptive containing a progestogen derived another, cloud-etisteron enanthate (NET-EN) - names: Norysterat, Doryxas.
in Romania is currently used DMPA, as well as in most European countries and the USA.

Mechanism of action
- Prevents ovulation;
- Thickens cervical mucus.

Efficiency
Very high: 0, 3 pregnancies per 100 women in first year of use, if the administration is correct.

Reversibility
Return of fertility may occur with some delay (average of four months longer than when using other methods).

Directions
It makes one injection every 3 months (2 months for NET-EN products).

Important:
- With cap bottles stored up to avoid precipitation of content on the inside of the cap;
