Vasectomy - male sterilization

Vasectomy - male sterilization

Consists of blocking or cutting channels / ducts / vas deferens, thereby preventing sperm removal.

Efficiency is very high - 0, 5 pregnancies per 100 couples in the first year of use. If the method is used correctly, efficiency is higher. Proper use requires the man / couple to use another method of contraception after the vasectomy for 3 months after surgery and the first 20 ejaculations, whichever situation occurs first.

The technique is simple, fast, does not require hospitalization. Anesthesia is local to the scrotum, where they addressed the 2 channels deferens.

After surgery, erections and ejaculations man will have normal, except that in the ejaculate (sperm) sperm are no longer present (which can be found only by performing a spermiogram).
