Tooth loss correlated with the risk of kidney disease


A study at the University of Western Reserve Baths United States showed that tooth loss may result in increased risk of renal disease in adults.
Thus, it was shown that people who have missing teeth are more likely to suffer from chronic kidney disease than those who complete dentures.
The study conducted at Western Reserve University Cade was conducted on 4053 adults aged over 40 years, the results showing that people who had lost their teeth were exposed to chronic kidney disease. In the tests risk factors such as age, race and smoking were excluded previously only study focusing on the relationship between tooth loss and kidney disease.
Study author, Dr. Monica Fisher, said the relationship is established between oral health and adult kidney diseases is based on inflammatory condition, given that both periodontal disease and chronic kidney disease are inflammatory situations.
