Fertile phase of the menstrual cycle is that period in which a woman can get pregnant.

Identify the fertile period (the time it starts and ends at the childbearing phase of the menstrual cycle) can be done in several ways:

  - Rhythm method - timing calculation based on menstrual cycle

  - Method cervical mucus / Billings - vaginal discharge / cervical mucus

  - Basal temperature method - Basal Temperature

Varies much more than other contraceptive methods is highly dependent decorectitudinea use and identification abilities of different signs.

If normal use efficiency is reduced - up to 20 pregnancies per 100 women in first year of use.

If the methods are used correctly and consistently, efficiency increases as follows:

  - If cervical secretions tracks - 3 pregnancies per 100 women in first year of use;

  - If measured basal temperature - 1 pregnancy per 100 women;

  - If you use the calendar method - 9 pregnancies per 100 women;

  - If using symptom-thermal method - 2 pregnancies per 100 women.
