What is menopause?

What is menopause?

Menopause is not installed but is preceded by a short period lasts more or less, called perimenopause. On average, it takes four years and includes the 12 months following the last menstrual period.

Premenopausal corresponds to a decrease in production of female sex hormones. During this period, women experience menstrual disorders (menstrual too heavy, too long or too short) and other unpleasant events (breast tenderness, bloating, insomnia, mood swings, etc.).
If these symptoms are not very serious, do not require specific treatment. However, if it seriously affects the patient's quality of life, please consult a doctor for prescribing treatment.
